Colombo- Sri Lanka Cricket on Saturday said it sees no 'major issues' with the Indian team turning up at the Sri Lankan President's party in casual attire, flouting the dress code for the occasion.
They came in jeans and identical Indian T-shirts... There was a dress code but there were no major issues," SLC CEO Duleep Mendis told PTI.
Dhoni and his men preferred jeans and T-shirts when they went to meet Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapakse, in sharp contrast with the home team which came in formal attire for the celebration which was also part of Sri Lanka's Independence Day celebration.
Mendis also played down instances of crowd disturbances during the ongoing ODI series."We made elaborate security arrangements and those two incidents should not be considered animosity towards the Indian team. The spectators were showing anger on their own team's loss."We have advised the spectators to behave properly. There are no major issues with that," Mendis said.
